Levi's "Artwork"

Leave Levi alone for two minutes and come back to this....I can't keep up!!!

Getting So Big!!

Happy Halloween!!

This year the boys went as Batman and a Fireman. Sammy wanted to wear and still wants to wear his Batman costume everyday. He asked all day long if it was time to Trick or Treat. He was so excited!!

When it was finally dark outside we headed out to get some goodies only for Levi and I to come back a few minutes later. He just didn't want to go. He thought everything was scary and kept throwing his pail on the ground. We came home and handed out candy. Chris took Sammy around the rest of the neighborhood and he scored some major loot!!

Hangin with Nanny

A few weeks ago the boys and I went down to visit my parents. The weather was beautiful and we got to play outside for a bit. The boys had fun feeding the fish. Fearless Mr. Levi gets a little to close to the pond for my comfort but he still has fun. Sammy got to mow the lawn and go in the "big hot bath." (The hot tub)

Sammy's First Drawing

Sammy has been learning about how God created the earth at MOPS and Cubbies. His "homework" was to draw a picture of what you see out our window and this is what he drew. It was the best thing I have ever seen him draw. I was so proud that I couldn't wait for him to be done so I could hang it on the refrigerator.

Cubbie

Sammy joined Awana this year and he is in the Cubbies group. He absolutely loves it!! They got their vests and books a couple weeks ago and Sammy has been doing a fantastic job with his verses!! This week he should get his very first patch for his vest. Pretty big deal!!

He also go to bring Cubbie the snack bear home this week!! He has been sleeping with Cubbie every night and he even reads him bedtime stories. We get to bring apple slices for snack this week and since it is pj night Sammy is going to wear his super cool new Lego Star Wars pjs. So fun!!

Love these Boys

It is so hard to get a good picture of them together. Maybe that should be my mission this week...and maybe Levi should be dressed next time with no powder in his hair....lol.

Nap Time, Schmap Time

Yesterday I put Levi down for his nap and I thought all was fine. Since he sleeps in a big boy bed now I have to close his door, which now has a cover over the door knob so he can't escape anymore. I going to go ahead and say it...Levi is a handful!!! It is always something with this boy. I love seeing his creativity and curiosity but it is hard to keep up with him some days.

Back to the nap...I came downstairs and was enjoying a nice game of Trouble with Sammy and Chris when we heard Levi banging around. Normally he takes a nap and when he wakes up he knocks on his door and we let him out. I went upstairs to check on him and I tried to peek under his door I saw his light was on. I thought that was weird since he can't reach it and I got worried he was up on his dresser so I opened the door and found this....

An entire container of baby powder dumped out on EVERYTHING...

Erytheme....What??

Erytheme multiforme is the crazy rash that Levi got. It all started on Saturday (9-18) night when I changed his diaper. I noticed he has several bumps on his legs and belly. I called Chris to come and look at them and we decided to call the on cal nurse. My kids don't ever get sick during normal office hours so when the nurse called back she said it was probably chicken pox. Which I thought he wouldn't get since he had been immunized for it. She told us to watch and make sure none of the bumps turned purple and that they wouldn't look like regular chicken pox because of the immunization. She also said that by morning he would have a lot more bumps and to give him benedryl. Later that night he woke up and had a fever so he slept with us and I kept noticing him scratching his belly. By morning she was right he had more bumps...still thinking it was chicken pox we kept a close eye on him but when the bumps started to cluster together we got worried and called the nurse back. She just told us to keep watching him and if the bumps turned purple to call back since it could be a sign of meningitis...yikes!!! As the morning went on I went to change his diaper when I noticed PURPLE....OMG I was freaking out!! Immediately we called the nurse back and she said to take him to the nearest emergency room!! I have never even been to the ER and I certainty didn't want to go now. Luckily the nurse alerted the hospital that we were on our way so they saw us right away. They determined obviously that it was not chicken pox but didn't say what it was. They took his temperature rectally....and if you know anything about Levi he absolutely HATES the doctor so he was not a happy little boy. His pediatrician get even look at him without him having a fit!! His foot looked like it wasn't getting any circulation. It was red and where it wasn't red it was purple. Then they sent us over to a different area of the ER where we had to wait FOREVER to have him be seen. When we finally saw the doctor she told us that he had erytheme multiforme and wanted to have a pediatrician look at him. They examined him, gave him some anti inflammatory medication and told us to keep giving him benedryl and tylenol for his fever and told us it should be gone within a week. On Monday he was having trouble walking (it makes your joint hurt.) He had a follow up appointment the next day and by Tuesday he was much better!! I think it was all the prayers!! Overall it was a very scary experience!! We are not sure what caused it...it is caused by an internal virus but he was not even sick. I guess if it ever happens again we know what to do.

Washing the Car

It was a beautiful day a few weeks ago so we all went out to wash the cars. Well make that we all went outside and I washed the cars. Levi "helped" and Chris and Sammy ended up playing football. I just love driving around in a car that is nice and vacuumed...but lets face it it only last for a day. Kids....
